IBC Adapter Kit, S100x8 to MDPE Water Pipe

This kit makes a fixed connection between an IBC (intermediate bulk container) tank and a run of MDPE water pipe. It fits IBC valves whose outlet carries the S100x8 thread, steps down through BSP threads and finishes in a compression fitting that holds the pipe, so water stored in the tank can be piped to where it is used.

Every kit is made up of exactly three parts that screw together in a line. The first is a cap-style adapter that screws onto the S100x8 valve outlet and presents a 2 inch BSP female thread. A reducing bush goes into it on its 2 inch BSP male thread and leaves a 3/4 inch BSP female socket, or a 1 inch one in the 32mm kit. The last part is the MDPE compression fitting: its BSP male end screws into the bush, and its other end takes the pipe under a compression nut.

The compression end is sized to the outside diameter of the pipe and comes in 20mm, 25mm or 32mm. The 20mm and 25mm kits are available with either a 90 degree elbow or a straight connector, and the 32mm kit with an elbow. The elbow turns the pipe through a right angle at the outlet, while the straight connector carries it on in line with the outlet.

The kit suits gardeners and growers who keep water in an IBC and want to feed an irrigation system, a pond or another MDPE pipe run from it. It contains the three fittings only; the IBC tank, its valve and the MDPE pipe are not included.
