Product Details
These stakes are made for putting up safety barrier mesh: straight 1.15 m lengths with a pointed tip that go into the ground along a fence line, ready for the mesh to be tied on. They do a second job in the vegetable garden too, standing beside tomatoes, peppers and other plants that need support as they grow.
Each stake has a steel core covered by a plastic coating. The steel makes for a sturdy stake, and the coating protects it from rust and corrosion, so the stakes can stay outdoors through the weather for several seasons. The coating is ridged along the length of the stake and comes in two colours: green, which sits quietly against hedges, lawns and planting, and black.
For a temporary fence, set the stakes out along the line, unroll the barrier mesh or netting against them and fix it to each stake with cable ties. When the fence is no longer needed, cut the ties, pull the stakes out of the ground and keep them for the next job. That makes them handy for fencing off a border or part of the garden, closing off a building or landscaping job, or running a boundary round an allotment plot.
Every pack holds stakes of a single colour, in packs of 10, 20, 50, 100 or 500, so a gardener staking a row of tomatoes and a contractor fencing a long boundary can each buy the quantity the job needs. The stakes are sold on their own: mesh, cable ties and string are not included.
