Product Details
Horticultural grade perlite is a lightweight growing medium used to boost aeration and drainage in compost, potting mixes and soilless setups. It helps prevent waterlogging and compaction, supporting healthier root development and more consistent watering for a wide range of plants.
Made from expanded mineral perlite, it is an inert, low-salt medium that won’t introduce weed seeds into your mix. The clean, porous structure creates air pockets through the root zone while still helping to hold moisture where plants need it.
Use it to lighten heavy soils, improve pot mixes for indoor plants, and create free-draining blends for succulents and cacti. It’s also suitable for propagation work, helping young roots establish in a more open, oxygen-rich environment.
For hydroponics and soilless growing, perlite can be used as a standalone medium or blended with other substrates to balance moisture retention and drainage. It’s supplied by volume in a resealable container/bag so you can use what you need and store the rest for later.
Bucket colour may vary (white or transparent) depending on availability.
