These expanded clay pebbles (keramzyt) are a clean, lightweight growing medium designed to improve drainage and airflow around plant roots. They help reduce waterlogging and support healthier root development, making them a reliable choice for hydroponic setups and container gardening.
Made from fired, porous clay, the rounded granules create air pockets through the substrate while also helping to buffer moisture levels. This structure supports consistent growing conditions and makes the medium easy to handle, reuse and top up as needed.
Use as a standalone medium for hydroponics, or mix into compost to improve aeration for houseplants, balcony planters and raised pots. They’re also useful as a drainage layer in the base of pots to help excess water move away from roots.
