Water Butt Tank Connector Kit, 3/4 Inch BSP Male to Female

This connector kit gives a water butt or rainwater tank a threaded connection through its wall. It is supplied loose, as a connector and a socket that screw together to give a 3/4 inch BSP male thread at one end and a female BSP outlet at the other, and you choose the size of that outlet: 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch or 1 inch. That makes it a simple way to give a tank the thread it needs for the fittings you plan to connect.

The kit is made up of two components. The first is a complete tank connector with its hexagonal nut and washers; the second is a black PP socket, threaded female at both ends, which screws onto the connector and forms the outlet. On the 3/4 inch option the socket is the same size at both ends, while the 1/2 inch and 1 inch options use a reducing socket that changes from 3/4 inch to the outlet size. Both thread sizes are moulded into the body of the socket, so the fitted size is easy to identify later.

It suits gardeners and anyone setting up rainwater storage who needs a particular outlet thread on a water butt or tank. Because the outlet is female, whatever you connect to it, such as a tap, needs a male BSP thread of the same size; that fitting is bought separately.

Each order contains one complete kit in the size you select. No tap, hose, drill bit or separate PTFE roll is included. Before installation, check the mounting hole in your tank and the wall clearance available, so that the connector and its nut can be fitted.
