BSP Swivel Fitting 1 Inch – Elbow, Straight or Tee

This 1 inch BSP swivel fitting is made for joints where a rigid threaded fitting is awkward to use. On a rigid elbow, connector or tee every end is part of one solid piece, so the whole fitting has to be turned to tighten it, and whatever is screwed to it turns as well. Here each female end is a nut that turns on its own, independently of the body, so the fitting can be pointed where the pipe has to go first and the nut screwed onto its male thread afterwards, without twisting the pipe or the part on the other side.

The range comes in three shapes and six options. The 90 degree elbow takes a line round a corner and the straight connector carries it on in line; both come female x female, with a swivel nut at each end for joining two male threads, or male x female, with one swivel nut and one male thread. The tee splits one line into two or brings two together, and comes with one male thread and two female nuts, or with two male threads and one female nut. Every end is 1 inch BSP, so the fitting pairs with parts that carry the same thread in the opposite gender.

The fitting is made of plastic, with a black body and grey swivel nuts. The nuts have a ribbed grip around the outside, and the male threads are formed directly on the body. Each option is supplied as one single fitting.

It suits water pipework in the garden, such as irrigation lines and the connections to pumps, valves and tank outlets that carry a 1 inch BSP thread, as well as any run where the parts are already fixed in place and a new joint has to fit between them. Gardeners and DIY installers can use it to extend, turn or split a line without taking apart what is already there.
