Damp Proof Membrane Black Polythene Sheeting

This black damp proof membrane (DPM) sheeting is designed to help prevent moisture rising through floors and subfloors, creating a dependable vapour barrier for building, renovation and repair work. It’s a practical choice when you need a flexible, easy-to-handle layer that supports a drier, more protected build-up.

Made from LDPE polythene, the membrane is water vapour tight and waterproof, while remaining pliable for quick positioning and folding around edges and details. Its construction is designed to offer good tear resistance during handling and installation.

Common uses include placing beneath concrete slabs, screeds and flooring systems, as well as providing protection in wet rooms and on foundations. It can also be used as a temporary protective cover during works where added moisture shielding is helpful.

If you order multiple quantities, these are typically supplied as one continuous length where possible, helping to reduce joins and speed up installation. For sealing overlaps and edges, it can be paired with suitable membrane tapes such as reinforced, aluminium or butyl tape.
