It features a blue, closed-cell XPS foam core that is completely free of CFCs and HCFCs, and is coated on both sides with fiberglass mesh and polymer-cement mortar. This construction makes it an ideal base for setting tiles using the thin-bed process.
The XPS foam core is 100% waterproof and provides excellent resistance to water vapor. When seams and fastener heads are properly treated, the board can be used as part of a complete waterproof installation system. The panels meet stringent ASTM and ANSI waterproofing standards, ensuring long-term durability and performance.
Lightweight yet strong, the board is easy to handle, cut, and install, making it suitable for both professional installers and DIY projects.
