Irrigation Pressure Regulator, 1.7 bar Output

A pressure regulator for garden irrigation that brings the incoming water pressure down to a 1.7 bar output before it enters the system. Fitted between the tap and the irrigation pipework, it is intended for drip and micro irrigation set-ups that need a lower working pressure than the supply provides.

    Product Details

This irrigation pressure regulator lowers the pressure of the water entering an irrigation system to a 1.7 bar output. It is fitted where the supply meets the system, between the tap and the start of the irrigation pipework, so the lines, connectors and emitters further on are fed at the reduced pressure instead of at the full pressure of the supply.

Drip and micro irrigation are the set-ups it is meant for. Many of them are designed to run at a lower working pressure than the tap feeding them delivers, and a regulator at the head of the system is the usual way to bring the two into line.

A regulator can only take pressure away, never add it. It is therefore suited to supplies that run above 1.7 bar, and it will not raise the pressure of a weaker source such as a gravity-fed water butt. It arrives on its own, with no other parts in the pack, so it is worth checking its connections against the tap and pipe it will join and having any fittings you need ready before you start.

It suits gardeners and growers setting up or extending a drip system for beds, borders, containers or a greenhouse, and anyone whose irrigation runs from a tap that supplies more pressure than the system is built for.
