IBC Top Lid with 45 Degree D75 Elbow and Mesh Filter

This IBC top lid turns the tank’s filling opening into a rainwater inlet: a 45 degree elbow with a nominal D75 connection leads water in from a downpipe, while a mesh filter bag beneath the lid helps collect leaves and coarse debris. Choose the 155mm or 225mm lid to suit your tank.

    Product Details

If an IBC stands near a downpipe, this top lid lets it collect the rain. It screws onto the tank’s filling opening in place of the existing lid and carries a 45 degree elbow with a nominal D75 connection, so water from the downpipe enters the tank at an angle, while a mesh filter bag hanging beneath the lid helps collect leaves and other coarse debris carried in with it.

The assembly consists of three parts. The lid has a ribbed rim and a black ring around its central opening, the filter bag hangs from a rigid white collar that sits in that opening, and the white elbow fits into the collar from above. The 155mm lid is black and the 225mm lid is red. Because the parts come apart, the bag can be taken out and emptied whenever leaves build up in it.

The mesh is a strainer for coarse debris only: it does not purify or treat the water collected in the tank. The lid suits gardeners, allotment holders and anyone else who collects rainwater from a downpipe in an IBC.

Two lid sizes are offered, 155mm and 225mm. A nominal size on its own does not establish a fit on every IBC, so before ordering compare the thread and opening of the lid on your tank with the option you choose, and check that your downpipe can be connected to the D75 elbow. Each order contains one lid in the selected size together with its elbow and mesh filter bag; the IBC tank and the downpipe shown in some photographs are not included.
