IBC Tank Valve with 2 inch S60x6 Thread and Solid Cap

This is a replacement outlet valve for an IBC tank, the caged container on a pallet base that is widely used to store rainwater and other water around the garden, allotment, yard or farm. Fitted at the base of the tank, it lets you open the flow, shut it off again and keep the outlet closed in between. It is supplied as a single valve together with its solid screw cap.

The valve body is moulded in white plastic, with a long blue lever on top so the flow can be controlled by hand. On the tank side, a large female union nut screws onto the tank’s own outlet, with a blue sealing ring seated inside it. On the outlet side, the 2 inch S60x6 thread is closed by a solid black screw cap, ribbed around its edge so it can be gripped and turned by hand.

Because the outlet carries the S60x6 thread used on IBC fittings, the cap can come off whenever you want to connect an S60x6 hose fitting or adaptor, sold separately, and go straight back on when you have finished. That makes it simple to switch between filling a watering can directly at the tank and running water off through a hose.

It suits gardeners, allotment holders, smallholders and anyone running an IBC as a water butt, whether the original valve is damaged or you simply want a spare on hand. Before ordering, please check that the thread on your tank’s outlet matches the valve’s inlet nut, as IBC tanks are not all fitted with the same outlet.
