IBC Tank Top Lid 150mm with MDPE Compression Elbow

This kit adds a pipe connection to the top of an IBC tank. The plain lid comes off and this top lid goes on in its place, carrying a threaded connector through its centre and an MDPE compression elbow above it. MDPE water pipe can then be run into the tank or away from it through the lid, leaving the bottom valve free for its usual job.

The lid is a moulded screw-on cap with a ribbed outer skirt, made to replace the existing top lid on the tank neck. The through-lid connector sits in the centre opening and is held by a retaining nut, with seals at the joint. The elbow joins the connector by its threaded end and bends through 90 degrees, so the pipe leaves the lid sideways instead of standing upright.

Each version of the kit is built around one elbow size: 20, 25, 32 or 50 mm. The figure is the outside diameter of the MDPE pipe the elbow accepts, so match it to the pipe already on site or the pipe you plan to lay. The pipe end goes into the compression side of the elbow and is held there by tightening the compression nut.

The kit suits gardeners, allotment holders and smallholders who store water in IBCs, and anyone connecting a tank to an existing MDPE pipe run. Typical set-ups include a fill line coming in through the lid, an overflow, or a link pipe between two tanks.

The kit contains the top lid, the threaded through-lid connector with its retaining nut and seals, and one MDPE elbow in the size you choose; MDPE pipe is not included. The lid is a 150 mm IBC top lid, so check the size and thread of your tank’s top opening before ordering.
