IBC Outlet Adapter Kit, S60x6 to GEKA Type Coupling

This kit puts a GEKA type claw coupling on the outlet of an IBC tank, so a hose can be coupled on for watering and taken off again by hand. The cap adapter screws onto an IBC outlet with an S60x6 thread and every version is built on it, so you choose the version by what you want to connect: a hose of a particular size, a claw fitting you already own, or a valve.

The cap is a black moulded part with ribs and lugs around the outside and a 3/4 inch BSP female thread in its centre. In the hose tail and coupling only versions, a brass GEKA type claw coupling with a 3/4 inch BSP male thread screws into that centre thread. Claw couplings of this type hook together by their claws, with a black rubber seal in each coupling face, and come apart again without tools.

The straight hose tail versions add a second claw coupling with a barbed tail for 1/2, 3/4 or 1 inch hose. The swivel elbow versions use a brass claw coupling with an elbow hose tail in 13, 19 or 25 mm instead, so the hose can leave the outlet at an angle and swivel round to follow its run. The coupling only version stops at the brass coupling, ready for claw fittings you already have, and the valve version places a 3/4 inch union valve between the cap and a GEKA type coupling so the flow can be shut off at the adapter.

The kit suits gardeners and growers who keep water in an IBC tank and want to run it through a hose for garden or nursery watering, and anyone whose hoses and watering lances already use claw couplings. Each version contains only the parts listed for it; the hose, hose clips, the tank and its valve are not included.
