IBC Outlet Adapter Kit, S60x6 to 50 mm MDPE Pipe

This kit connects the outlet of an IBC storage tank to 50 mm MDPE water pipe, so water from the tank can run on through a pipe line. It is made of two parts that screw together. A cap adapter with a coarse S60x6 female thread fits onto the tank outlet, and its other side has a 2 inch BSP female thread. A 50 mm MDPE compression fitting with a 2 inch BSP male thread screws into that side, and its compression end clamps onto the pipe.

Three shapes are available, and each kit contains the one you choose. The straight joiner carries the pipe on in line with the outlet. The elbow turns it through 90 degrees right at the tank. The tee has a compression end on each side and the adapter on its centre branch, so the tank joins a pipe that runs on in both directions.

Both parts are moulded from polypropylene. The adapter is black, with raised ribs around the outside that give your hand a hold while you screw it on, and a small eyelet tab at its edge. The fitting has a black body and a grey screw-down nut on each pipe end. Under each nut, a split clamping ring and an O-ring seal close around the pipe as the nut is tightened.

The kit suits anyone plumbing an IBC tank into a fixed 50 mm pipe line. Before ordering, check that the tank outlet has the S60x6 coarse thread, which is 60 mm across with a 6 mm pitch, rather than a larger one such as S100x8, and that your pipe is MDPE or LDPE with a 50 mm outside diameter. Pipe, tank and valve are not included.
