Brass 90 Degree Hose Elbow, 3/4 Inch BSP Quick Connect Kit

This brass right-angle fitting is made for the point where a hose connection has to change direction. The bend screws onto a 3/4 inch BSP male thread, such as a tap or the inlet of a hose reel, and brings the line out at 90 degrees through a male quick-connect spigot, so the hose runs off to the side instead of standing straight out from the fitting.

It is sold in three kits that share the same bend. The Hose Connector Kit adds a female quick connector for 1/2 inch hose: the hose goes into one end, and the other end pushes onto the spigot of the bend. The Two Male Quick Ends kit adds a 3/4 inch BSP male quick adaptor, which screws into the female inlet of the bend and turns it into a right-angle piece with a male spigot at each end, ready for female quick connectors. The Quick Connect Kit with Hose Connector contains the bend, the male adaptor and the hose connector, so the parts can be used in either of those arrangements or fitted together in one line.

The bend, the adaptor and the hose connector are all made of brass. The threaded inlet of the bend is a hexagonal nut, and each male spigot carries an O-ring. The hose connector has two knurled collars, one on its quick-connect end and one on the nut that tightens onto the hose.

It suits gardeners and anyone fitting a hose to an outside tap or hose reel who wants the hose to leave the connection sideways, as well as anyone who needs a right-angle joint between quick-connect hose fittings. Hose is not supplied, and none of the kits includes a separate shut-off valve. The 3/4 inch BSP figure is the thread size and 1/2 inch is the hose size; they describe different connections, so check both before ordering.
