Steel Fence Stakes with Hooked Top, Silver, 113 cm

Silver steel fence stakes with a hooked top for putting up plastic safety and barrier mesh around gardens, allotments and work areas. Each stake is one piece of steel rod, and they come in packs of 5, 10, 20 or 50 so you can order for the length of fence you need.

    Product Details

These silver steel fence stakes are the uprights for a temporary mesh fence. Drive them into the ground along the line you want to close off, hang plastic safety or barrier mesh from them, and you have a clear boundary around a vegetable plot, a flower border or a patch of ground where work is going on. They are the stake we pair with 1 m high safety fencing mesh in our own fencing kits.

Each stake is a single length of steel rod, straight along the shank and bent over at the top into a hook. The hook takes the upper edge of the mesh, so the barrier can hang directly from the stakes, and because hook and shank are one piece there is nothing to assemble before the first stake goes in.

On an allotment or in a vegetable garden, a line of mesh on these stakes fences off beds that have just been sown or planted. At home the same stakes can close off a border or hold the mesh for a temporary run on the lawn, and on a building site they mark off a work area that needs to be kept clear.

The stakes come in packs of 5, 10, 20 or 50. As a rough guide, our kits allow one stake for every 2.5 m of mesh, so a short border needs only a few while a long boundary calls for one of the larger packs. Mesh is sold separately. When the job or the season is over, lift the mesh off the hooks, pull the stakes out of the ground and keep them for next time.
