Water Butt Two Way Valved Outlet Kit, 3/4 Inch BSP

This kit turns one connection in the wall of a water butt into two hose outlets that can be opened and closed separately. It is made of two parts that work as a pair: a tank connector, fitted through the wall of the butt, and a two-way manifold that screws onto the outer end of the connector and divides the flow between two quick-connect outlets. Two hoses can stay connected to the same butt and be used one at a time or both together.

The tank connector is black, with a flanged hexagonal body, a 3/4 inch BSP male thread at each end and a hexagonal backnut that holds it in the tank wall. The manifold has a white body with grey fittings. On its inlet side a swivel nut screws onto the connector, on top a lever sits above each outlet to open or close that branch, and each of the two outlets already carries a grey quick-connect connector, so no separate outlet adaptors are needed.

The 3/4 inch figure describes the nominal BSP thread of the connector, not the diameter of the hole it needs in the tank, so check the wall of the butt, the size of the hole and the position of the outlet before fitting it. The outlets take garden hoses fitted with matching quick-connect hose connectors.

The kit suits gardeners and allotment holders who water from a butt and want two hoses ready at once, each running to a different part of the garden, or who want to switch between two watering lines without disconnecting either hose. Only the tank connector and the manifold are supplied: the water butt, hoses and hose connectors are not included.
