IBC 155mm Filling Lid with Brass Valve and Hose Connector

This kit gives an IBC a hose connection on its filling lid. The vented 155mm lid screws onto the tank’s filling opening in place of the existing lid, and at its centre sits a 1/2 inch BSP brass lever valve with a quick hose adaptor, so a hose can be connected at the top of the tank and the flow opened or closed with the lever.

The parts thread together one after another. A 2 inch BSP male to 3/4 inch BSP female bush screws into the centre of the lid, a 3/4 inch BSP male to 1/2 inch BSP female bush follows it, and the male end of the brass valve goes into the second bush. The plastic quick hose adaptor screws into the female end of the valve, and a roll of PTFE tape is supplied for the threaded joints. As the two bushes are separate parts, the kit is made up of six components in all.

The kit suits gardeners and anyone who keeps rainwater in an IBC and wants to fill or top up the tank through a hose without taking the lid off, closing the valve when the hose is not in use.

IBC lids are not all alike, and a nominal size on its own does not confirm a fit on every tank. Before ordering, compare the thread and opening of the lid now on your IBC with this 155mm lid, and check that the quick adaptor suits your hose connection. The lid colour may vary with stock. The IBC tank, the hose and any other equipment shown in photographs are not included.
