Metal Inline Shut-Off Valve Kit for 1/2 inch Garden Hose

This inline shut-off valve kit puts an on/off point wherever you want one along a 1/2 inch garden hose. Fit it between two lengths of hose and the water can be stopped at the sprinkler, the spray attachment or the far end of the garden with a turn of the lever, rather than with a walk back to the outside tap each time.

At the heart of the kit is a full-flow ball valve with a metal body and 1/2 inch BSP female threads at both ends. A quarter turn of the lever opens or closes it, and the position of the lever shows at a glance whether the water is on or off.

Two threaded quick-connect adapters screw into the ends of the valve and turn them into male click-on ends, and the roll of PTFE tape in the pack seals those threaded joints as you fit them. Two white quick hose connectors go onto the ends of the hose and click onto the adapters, then release again by hand whenever you want to take the valve out of the line. The connections follow the common click-on garden hose system, so other standard-fit hose connectors and accessories link up with the valve as well.

The kit suits gardeners and allotment holders who water from long hose runs, anyone who wants to control a sprinkler or a section of hose where it stands, and anyone joining two lengths of 1/2 inch hose who would like a shut-off point between them. The hose itself is not included.
