IBC S60x6 Outlet Cap with 3/4 inch BSP Inline Screen Filter

This kit gives the outlet of an IBC (intermediate bulk container) tank a filtered 3/4-inch BSP connection. It is made for IBC valves with the S60x6 outlet thread and consists of two parts: a cap adaptor that screws onto the valve outlet and reduces it to a 3/4-inch BSP female thread, and a 3/4-inch BSP male-to-female inline screen filter that screws into the cap. Water leaving the tank has to pass through the filter’s mesh screen, so debris carried in the water is held back before it reaches the hose, pipe or fitting connected beyond it.

Both parts are moulded in black plastic. The cap has raised ribs around its rim to grip when it is screwed onto the valve, and its centre carries the 3/4-inch BSP female thread. The filter is a straight tubular housing with a male thread at one end and a ribbed female end at the other. Inside sits a mesh insert on a plastic frame, which slides out of the female end so it can be rinsed and put back.

Once the two parts are joined, the free end of the filter is a 3/4-inch BSP female thread, ready for a hose connector, hose tail or other fitting with a 3/4-inch BSP male thread. That makes the kit a sensible first stage for anyone running a garden hose, a drip or micro irrigation line or other watering equipment from an IBC, catching loose debris from the tank before it can reach narrow drippers and nozzles further along.

Before ordering, check that the outlet on your IBC valve has the S60x6 thread, as valves with other outlet threads need a different adaptor. The kit contains the cap adaptor and the inline screen filter only; the tank, its valve, hoses and hose connectors are not included.
