IBC S100x8 Adapter Kit with 3/4″ Garden Tap

This is a tap kit for IBC tanks whose outlet has the S100x8 thread. It turns that outlet into an ordinary 3/4″ garden tap, so the water stored in the tank can be run off into a watering can or sent down a garden hose, and turned on and off by hand at the tap. S100x8 is not the S60x6 thread that standard IBC tap kits are made for, which is why this kit is sold as its own set: check the outlet on your tank before you order.

Three pieces screw together in a line. The IBC adapter screws onto the S100x8 outlet and leaves a 2″ BSP female thread facing outwards. The reducing bush has a 2″ BSP male thread on the outside, which goes into the adapter, and a 3/4″ BSP female thread on the inside, which takes the tap. That is the whole kit, so a hose, hose clips or any other fittings you want on the end are bought separately.

The tap is the part you choose. The brass bib tap is the familiar outside-tap pattern with a brass body, while the lever tap is opened and closed with a lever. Either tap comes with one of two outlets: a click-fit hose connector, so a hose with a click-on connector attaches and comes off again without tools, or a barbed hose tail that the end of a hose pushes over.

The kit suits gardeners and allotment holders who keep water in an IBC, and anyone using an IBC as a supply for irrigation or for topping up a pond. Pick the click-fit version if your hoses already use click-on connectors, or the barbed version for a hose that is pushed on and left in place.
