IBC Linking Extension Kit, 0.5 Metre MDPE Pipe

This IBC linking extension kit is for the moment linked tanks need to stand further apart than the existing pipe allows, or when one tank has to move to a new spot. Rather than taking the whole linking run apart and starting again, you add a 0.5 metre section of MDPE pipe to the run you already have and keep the outlet fittings that are already in place.

Each kit is made up of a 0.5 metre length of MDPE pipe and a compression straight connector in the same size. The connector is an equal straight joiner, the same size at both ends, so it couples the extension pipe to existing MDPE pipe of the same diameter. A compression joint seals as its nuts are tightened over the pipe ends, so the connection is made without glue, solvent or heat and can be undone again if the layout of your tanks changes.

The kit is offered in three sizes, 25 mm, 32 mm and 50 mm, and the one to choose is the size of the MDPE pipe already in your linking run. MDPE pipe is sized by its outside diameter, so a measurement across the outside of the existing pipe is the quickest way to check before you order.

It suits anyone who keeps two or more IBC tanks joined as one water store, from a rainwater set-up in a garden or on an allotment to a larger store in a yard or on a farm.
