Camlock Inline Valve Assembly, 3/4 to 4 Inch

This Camlock inline valve assembly puts a dedicated on/off point into a hose line that already uses Camlock (cam and groove) couplings. It fits between two Camlock connections of the same size, for example where a layflat hose joins its outlet or where two lengths of hose meet, so the flow can be stopped and restarted at the valve rather than by pulling a coupling apart.

In the 3/4, 1, 1.25, 1.5 and 2 inch sizes the kit is made up of three parts. A Type D female Camlock coupler, whose two cam arms lock onto a male Camlock adapter, screws onto the male BSP thread of a brass full-flow ball valve, and a Type F male Camlock adapter screws into the valve’s female BSP thread. That leaves a female Camlock end on one side, a male Camlock end on the other and a lever-operated valve in between, and because the valve is full-flow its passage stays full size when it is open.

The 3 and 4 inch kits are configured for lines that need a male Camlock end on both sides. Two Type F male Camlock adapters screw into a full-flow valve with female BSP threads at each end, so the assembly connects between two female Camlock couplers.

The Camlock fittings are polypropylene layflat hose fittings, and in every kit the Camlock ends and the valve share one nominal size, which makes the assembly a straightforward match for hoses and outlets that already carry Camlock fittings of that size. It suits anyone running layflat or Camlock hose who wants a shut-off in the line itself rather than relying on the couplings.
