XPS tile backer board is designed to create a reliable, waterproof and insulating surface for tile installation on walls and floors. It helps provide a stable base for tiling in wet and moisture-prone areas, while also adding thermal insulation that supports a more comfortable finished space. Its lightweight design makes it easier to transport, position and fit during both renovation and new-build work.

Each board is made with a closed-cell XPS foam core and reinforced on both sides with fibreglass mesh and a polymer-cement coating. This construction gives the board a strong surface for tiling while remaining easy to cut with standard hand tools such as a knife or saw. The XPS core is waterproof and resistant to water vapour, helping it perform well in bathrooms, shower enclosures, kitchens and other damp environments.

These boards are especially useful where insulation and tile support are needed in one product.
