Water Butt Tap & BSP Adapter Kit

This water butt tap and adapter kit lets you add or replace an outlet on a rainwater tank, water butt or other container, making it easier to fill a watering can, attach a hose, or control flow for garden tasks. The kit is designed to create a dependable seal to help reduce drips and leaks around the outlet.

The adapter fits through a drilled or existing hole in your container and is secured from both sides with a nut and sealing washers. A matching tap screws into the adapter to provide a convenient on/off point, with model options available to suit different preferences such as lever operation, dial taps, quick-connect styles, and hose tail (barb) outlets.

It is suitable for outdoor rainwater harvesting set-ups, general garden watering and basic water transfer where a simple outlet is required. If your tank does not have a compatible pre-formed hole, you can install the outlet in a suitable location by drilling a new hole.

Before fitting, check thread compatibility with your container and any hoses or connectors you intend to use. During installation, ensure the threads are aligned correctly when tightening to avoid damage and to help achieve a good seal.

Fitting instructions:
1. Check the existing outlet hole for compatibility, or drill a new hole where required.
2. Remove the nut, keep one washer on the thread, and insert the adapter through the hole from the outside.
3. Fit the second washer on the inside and hand-tighten the nut firmly.
4. Screw the chosen tap into the adapter outlet, aligning threads carefully.
