To install the wardrobe rod, follow these steps:
Tools and Materials Needed:
- Drill
- Screws (usually included with the mounting brackets)
- Screwdriver
- Measuring tape
- Pencil or marker
- Level (optional, but recommended)
Installation Steps:
-
Measure and Mark:
- Measure the height at which you want to install the rod. Typically, it’s placed around 160-180 cm (63-71 inches) from the floor, depending on your preference and the type of clothing you’ll hang.
- Use the measuring tape to mark the position for both mounting brackets on the opposite sides of the wardrobe. Ensure the marks are level.
-
Drill Pilot Holes:
- Using a drill, make small pilot holes at the marked spots where the screws will go. This will help prevent the wood from splitting and make it easier to screw in the mounting brackets.
-
Install Mounting Brackets:
- Place the mounting brackets over the pilot holes. Secure them in place by driving the screws through the holes in the brackets into the pilot holes using a screwdriver. Ensure the brackets are firmly attached.
-
Insert the Rod:
- Once both brackets are securely mounted, insert the wardrobe rod into the brackets. Make sure it is seated properly and is level.
-
Check Stability:
- Gently pull on the rod to ensure it is securely mounted and can handle the weight of your clothes.
