Usage method:
Procedure: Apply an appropriate amount of the product evenly on the prepared surface with a roller, brush or spray. Do not create puddles. During application, observe the surface of the stone to assess the material’s absorbency. The stone is a natural product, so during the first impregnation, it is recommended to carry out a test in an invisible place in order to assess the stone’s absorbency and the effect obtained. Do not use the impregnation on resinous and non-absorbent surfaces. In the case of highly absorbent substrates, it is recommended to impregnate twice with an interval of about 30 minutes between operations.
NOTE: Shake the package each time before use until any white deposit is completely dissolved.
PREPARATION: Prior to application of sandstone sealer or natural stone sealer ensure surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and free from contamination. If algae or stains are present pre-treat prior to cleaning with an appropriate cleaning product.
**If applied to a surface where a “sweep-in” pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months, the natural stone must be fully cleaned with Smartseal Residue Remover prior to sealant application.**
APPLICATION: A suitable pressure sprayer or roller is recommended taking care to avoid any pooling. Application on all substrates should be to full saturation and on vertical surfaces commence at the bottom and work upwards.
Remove any excess after approx 30 – 40 minutes.
One coat only is normally required, for best results. Do not apply in damp conditions or at temperatures below 12-15°c. Shake container well before use.
