Perlite provides soil aeration and drainage with over 90% of its total porosity and 60% of aeration porosity.
Perlite increases infiltration, reduces evaporation, provides economy in irrigation.
Perlite is inorganic,so it does not include any weed seeds and it not exposed to
Salinity and alkalinity do not cause any problems when per/it is used due to very low quantity of solvable ions in the substance.

**PREMIUM 50/50 Grade Perlite & Vermiculite Mix for Compost Growing Hydroponic Garden**
WHY PERLITE WORKS ?
Perlite provides soil aeration and drainage with over 90% of its total porosity and 60% of aeration porosity.
Perlite increases infiltration, reduces evaporation, provides economy in irrigation.
Perlite is inorganic,so it does not include any weed seeds and it not exposed to
Salinity and alkalinity do not cause any problems when per/it is used due to very low quantity of solvable ions in the substance.
Perlite easily regulates ambient pH with its neutral pH (pH=6,5-7,5) and low chemical buffering.
Excellent thermal conductivity of expanded perlite decreases the influence of daily temperature changes on plants as much as possible.
In soilless agriculture after sterilization Perlite can be used during 6 years without any harm to the soil structure. It ensures early harvesting.
Perlite prevents damages and losses of seedling roots.
Due to the listed above features Perlite is successfully used as soil regulator in greenhouses,as nourishment in seedlings growing and as growing environment in soilless agriculture.
WHAT IS VERMICULITE
Vermiculite is a naturally occurring mineralthat expands when heated. Expanded vermiculite has unique and versatile characteristics; it is lightweight, provides energy savings when used as insulation, it is non-combustible, highly absorbent, pH neutral, inert, non-reactive to all but very strong acids and compressible. These desirable characteristics allow vermiculite
- INORGANIC AND STERILE
- NEUTRAL PH
- HIGH WATER HOLDING CAPACITY
- HIGH AIR HOLDING CAPACITY
- ENHANCES DRAINAGE
- INSULATING ROOTS
- FACILITATES RE-WETTIN
- NON IRRITANT
- ROOTING CUTTINGS
Vermiculite is the standard among professional nurserymen for most horticulturaluses including the insertion of cuttings. Vermiculite may be used directly as poured from the bag for root cuttings. Water thoroughly and insert cuttings. Over wetting is not a serious concern if container drainage is provided. Vermiculite will promote maximum root growth in less time.
SOIL CONDITIONING
Where the native soil is heavy or sticky, gentle mixing of vermiculite up to one-half the volume of the soil is recommended. This creates air channels and allows the soil mix to breathe.
Mixing vermiculite in flower and vegetable gardens or in potted plants will provide the necessary air to maintain vigorous plant growth. Where soils are sandy, mixing of vermiculite into the soil will allow the soilto hold water and air needed for growth.
SEED GERMINATION
Use vermiculite alone or mixed with soil, perlite or peat. Very little watering is required. More seeds germinate – faster germination too! Where vermiculite is mixed half and half with soil, peat, or composted pine bark, no additionalfeeding is required up to the time of transplanting.
HOUSE PLANTS
Vermiculite eliminates the problem of packed-down soil in flower pots. Mix half and half with soil, perlite, peat and/or composted pine bark. It provides excellent air and moisture control for house plants. Lightens and aerates soil. Roots can spread out through the pot. Less frequent watering is required.
