Why buy BITAPE Flashing tape?
The strength of the facing gives resistance to puncturing and the bitumen gives flexibility and adhesion but without the problems of slump. Designed for use as flashing on flat and pitched roofs, roof valleys, parapets and chimney stacks. Also ideal for sealing around RSJ’s, flues, concrete columns, roof-lights, guttering and extractor vents.

  1. Roll out the flashing strip then cut to the required measured length
  2. Remove the backing paper (peel back 150mm) and place the adhesive side to the previously prepared surface
  3. To ensure a tight contact – smooth the tape down with a dry cloth, removing all the air bubbles
  4. Press the tape to the surface firmly once in position
  5. Repeat the steps 2-4 in 300mm to 600mm sections until the area is covered
  6. If the tape is joined ensure all overlaps are greater than 25mm
